Dear friends of the Mafiri Children’s Home family,
We wish you a happy Easter! Our Easter celebration started on a sunny day and was later blessed by cooling rain. On Easter Sunday we celebrated with our Mafiri family. After planting beans at the farm on Saturday, we picked up some extra food, drinks and a lamb for the upcoming celebration.
On Easter Sunday, our workers cut wood for grilling the lamb, while the Mafiri mothers prepared the children’s meal. The children then gathered together to enjoy some good music. They also helped prepare the food for the barbecue. The lamb barbecue quickly became one of the children’s favorite meals.
In the afternoon some relatives of the children made a lovely surprise visit to the Mafiri Village, for some it was their first time to the Children’s home. We enjoyed spending the day together. All children were happy and had a great day.
